About Me

My Vision

To live in a world where every expectant parent feels empowered, informed and prepared, for a positive pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Hi I’m Eleanor

the founder of Birth With Choice. I’m so glad our paths have crossed! I’m here to teach you everything you need to know about childbirth, how to navigate the maternity system and how to have a birth where you feel in control, calm and confident.

You deserve to feel empowered throughout your birth experience. I teach with compassion and honesty. I don’t avoid talking about pain, but I promise to teach you that it isn’t something to fear, alongside proven tools to make birth as comfortable as possible. There’s so much of birth to embrace, and I’m here to cheer you on at every step!

You’re in safe hands

I'm an experienced teacher, psychology graduate, certified Hypnobirthing teacher and mum of two. I deliver bespoke antenatal courses in Lytham, St Annes, Blackpool, Preston and surrounding towns. If you live outside of the North West, I teach online and can support you to have a positive birth, wherever you’re based.

I was like you

I understand what it’s like to feel apprehensive about birth. That was me when I was pregnant with my son.

I was one of the first of my friends to start a family and I was frightened by everything I had ever heard about birth. I saw it as something to endure. My expectations were low - but it doesn’t have to be this way.

I hadn’t heard about Hypnobirthing until I got pregnant for the third time. I knew I needed a lot of reassurance following two miscarriages and a first trimester that was dominated by fear and anxiety.

I really struggled with the unfamiliarity and unpredictability of pregnancy, particularly as I was navigating pregnancy after loss. I found that standard NCT classes didn’t give me the tools I needed to feel mentally prepared for birth.

Hypnobirthing was the answer - it gave me the positive mindset and used evidence-based antenatal education, to give me that sense of preparedness that I so desperately needed.

Knowledge is power!

After getting my husband on board, we walked into our first Hypnobirthing class, fearful of birth and intimidated by the maternity system. We were initially sceptical about the ‘hypno’ part but were fully invested in the idea of  science-led antenatal education (and so much more).

Two and a half hours later, I walked out of that first class genuinely excited to give birth. I haven’t stopped raving about Hypnobirthing since. I can hand on heart say that it changed my life.

When the time came, I used my Hypnobirthing tools for a positive induction and an emergency caesarean birth. I never would have anticipated how versatile they are. Hypnobirthing continues to guide me through everyday life as a mum too.

If you're ready to feel empowered and informed about your birth choices, then I'd love to support you.
